BEFORE YOU BUY ENCODE RECALL SYSTEM™
Good questions.
Straight answers.
Choose what fits your goal and how you want to study. You can begin with a topic and one guided page.
Is this just Cornell notes with extra steps?+
Cornell notes help organize information. This journal also gives you a place to picture relationships, create recall questions, and see which topics need another return. If those additions make your routine clearer, you can try them on your own paper first.
Is it appropriate for middle school and high school students?+
Yes. Younger students do not need to understand the research terminology. The numbered layout shows them what to do next, helping them practice an effective study routine before workloads and academic stakes become higher.
Is this for school only?+
No. It can be used for college courses, graduate programs, SAT and ACT preparation, AP exams, healthcare and law programs, and professional certifications such as PMP, CPA, IT, cybersecurity, and licensing exams.
Do I need to understand the research before using it?+
No. Start with a topic you need to learn. Use the page to make sense of it, ask yourself a question, and come back later. The research page is there whenever you want to know why those actions may help.
What if I cannot draw?+
Artistic quality is not the point. A rough diagram, symbol, relationship, or visual shorthand is enough. The act of translating an idea into a picture is what matters.
Can a parent buy this to teach a child how to study?+
Absolutely. A parent can help a student use the numbered sections until the process becomes familiar. The long-term value is not filling every page—it is learning a study routine the student can carry forward.
What do the two editions cost?+
The Paperback Edition is $18, or about 18 cents per page across roughly 100 pages of real studying, with a Standard Color interior. The Hardcover Edition is $34, or about 34 cents per page, with a Premium Color interior, stronger exterior protection, and a built-in spine labeling area for easy shelf identification.
Can I use the approach without buying a journal?+
Yes. The free Quick Start explains the actions, and you can practice them on your own paper. The journal provides a ready-made workspace if you want those parts together each time.
Is the app available now?+
No. The current product is a complete physical journal. Optional digital tools and personalized progress guidance are future directions. Join updates if you would like to follow that work.
Has this complete journal been tested in a study?+
The journal brings together research-informed study practices on one guided page. We keep learning from the people using it so the tools and guidance can improve over time. Explore the research.
